How to deal with the worn or broken watch mirror

     The watch mirror is usually made of sapphire crystal glass. If it falls to the ground, it may cause damage to the watch mirror. But in the daily life some small details do not pay attention, also can cause the watch mirror to appear the scratch. How to deal with the worn or broken watch glasses?


  Many situations in life may cause the glass of watch to be damaged. Depending on the degree of damage, there are scratches, cracks, corner chipping, complete damage and so on. If it's just scratches and cracks, you can make do with it. When there are scratches or slight scratches on the mirror surface of the watch, you can first drop one or two drops of water on the mirror surface of the watch, then squeeze a little toothpaste, and then wipe it back and forth with a cotton ball, then you can remove the scratches and make the mirror as new as before.



     As for the watch with precise operation, in the case of serious glass damage, it will lead to insufficient sealing and poor water and dust-proof performance. Xiaohao suggests replacing it in a professional watch shop.


  As for severe damage such as explosion, corner collapse and serious damage, when debris is covered on the dial, the following measures shall be taken immediately:
    1. The first thing is to stop watch. Pull out the handle and stop the watch. Pull out the handle of the watch to stop the watch. Do not let the pointer drive the glass chips to scratch the dial and calendar.
    2. Never dial a needle or a quick calendar, or try to remove the broken glass from the dial.
    3. When sending to the clock shop for repair, the watch needs to be placed horizontally (glass facing down) into the packing box, and no violent vibration   and shaking can occur during the process of sending to the shop for repair.
   4. In the process of maintenance, the maintenance personnel should be advised not to let the glass fragments hurt the dial and the needle.
